Cable itself is good quality and i have no connection issues at all but for the quest 2 10ft is not enough go for 16ft at the time of writing this i just noticed they updated the sale page and are offering a 16.5.
If you're playing games that require a controller or flight stick (i.e. Star Wars Squadrons) and your computer is fairly close, this cable is great for the money. 90 degree angled USB-C is great for headset. Works with the Oculus Quest 2 perfectly.
Got this today and it works great for the Oculus Link on the Quest 2. Works just as well as the way overpriced $80 Oculus cable. Even though it's 5 feet shorter, 10 feet is still plenty long enough for comfortable VR play without fear of tripping over the cable or anything like that. PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING: People who are complaining that this cable doesn't work for Oculus Link dont understand that the cable AND THE PORT have to be at least USB 3.0 or SS. Most computers will say SS right next to the USB C port or sometimes 3.0 next to the USB ports if thats the case(see photo above). People seem to think that you can plug this into any port and use any adapter and it will turn the whole set up into a 3.0/ SS connection. Sadly this is NOT the case, I feel as though Oculus and the internet makes it pretty clear that you need a 3.0/SS port to make this work, so most of the negative reviews are simply people not understanding how the connection needs to work. In fact, this is the same reason that the official Oculus brand cable has a lot of negative reviews as well. Basically, if you are going to use this for Oculus Link, make sure you have the RIGHT PORTS and that your ADAPTER SUPPORTS A 3.0/SS CONNECTION!
Fasgear USB 3.1 Gen 2 Type USB-C To USB-C Connectors have so far worked awesome for start i use them for... I personally use these cables as a communication gateway between my Galaxy S9 phone & PC as-is transferring data back and fourth. I also use it between my phone and PC via Phone-to-PC DEX Connection where your phone will be imaged and broadcast on your PC in a window and you can use your phone normally by clicking on your phone and apps etc in the Dex program... I've had other cables I've tried using for this feature and so far this is the only brand that has zero issues with the communication using Dex from PC to Phone. It also has the fastest data transfer speeds vs other cables I've tried when backing up my phone data onto my PC using USB-C 3.1 Gen2 (Also named USB 3.2 I believe?) While it also has the convenience of recharging my phone at the same time I do not and did not get this cable as a phone charging cable only... This is merely used as a data cable between my phone and my PC (While I have dedicated cables just for recharging my phone separately that I use just for that reason and not as a data cable) This is due to my past issues with cables that acted as both data and AC Outlet type recharging in 1 cable that always broke months later for some reason by either not connecting at high speeds to Transfer data or not able to fast charge anymore? Since keeping cables separate these for charging and another brand for AC Outlet recharging the cables have all worked flawlessly without any issues! To Check Out The cable I use just for charging search Amazon for: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B08MKXKJG3/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_awdb_imm_t1_VameGbTSGSJZY?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1
This cable provides excellent value for money, especially when comparing it to the nearly £90 Oculus Link cable which does the same thing. The cable seems robust but I have not used it that much as of yet.If you have an Oculus Quest, 1or 2, buy this cable and not the outrageously price Oculus Link Cable.
I needed a new video USBC to USBC cable to connect my laptop to a portable monitor. Although the monitor manufacturer-provided one, the cable didn't fit snugly into either their monitor or my laptop, causing a very sensitive connection. I was constantly losing my video on the secondary monitor. Supre frustrating.I love the 90-degree connection to keep cables managed. The moment this arrived, I tried it out and it's a nice solid/snug fit into both USB-c ports. No issues. Frustration level went from 99 to zero in the 10 seconds it took to unpackage and plug it in.
Absolutely fine and as described. I bought it for Quest 2 but wouldn't do so again - at 10' it meets spec but really I need (and many will) a 5m cable to be fit for purpose. In hindsight (1) I'd have looked into Virtual Desktop and ability to use wifi from PC (2) gone with 5m Quest cable if, but only if, I still thought it required.
This cable is a little short in comparison with the original oculus clink but is for the price and quality of the cable is a must-buy if you don't want to spend 70 dlls in the original.
