I don't know why or how but my family seems to go through chargers like nobody's business. So I picked out this charger to go next to my bed and charge my phone while I sleep. So far this one has held up nicely. I have had zero issues. It is also compatible for fast charging which is a MUST!!
Not much to say about this, it's a cable and delivers the promises, or at least up to now I had no issues with it. Paid about £12 for it, the cable is pretty thick so feels good quality and should be durable. The only negative (but this may be due to my phone) is when I charge my phone, I have to push quite hard the cable in the USB slot and check the phone if it is charging, as it does not seems to reach the terminals in the port. However, I had this problem with other 3rd party cables, it seems for my Samsung phone, the original serves better. In terms of charging speed, I get the same speed as my original Samsung fast charge. However, I've got this for charging my notebook, at it delivers the promises. Not a fan of getting no name cables, particularly as this is used with a 65W charger, however, was unable to find a branded Gen 2 cable at a decent price, so gave a try to this and do not regret it.
Most USB C peripherals come with very short cables. If you have a laptop on your lap, an external SSD hanging off the port is worrying. This allows much greater flexibility. Have tested with SanDisk Extreme and get full ~450MB/s read-write speed, so cable is definitely USB 3.1/gen 1, I don't have any USB 3.1/ gen 2 capability to test the higher speed.
I can't see this this cable breaking, especially where the cable goes in to the connectors on the ends, which is a typically weak point. The rubber holds it in well but it's still flexible. It also seems to be full 10gbps speed. My only issue is that the connectors are short and compact in the images shown on here, but that's not what you get. If you look at my photo you can see the connectors are longer than shown in the product images. It's minor, but one of the reasons i got this cable was for the compact looking connectors. So that's misleading and it gets 4 stars for that. But apart from that it's a good cable.
Works. Enough said.Instant detection of headset, fast smooth visuals. Now for those who need tech info to maybe show I'm speaking from a tech junkies perspective...Tested with fallout vr, Skyrim vr with 60 FPS AVG with high settings, no stutter or latency issues on Nvidia 1070 gtx, usb c to usb c port, MSI GT Titan laptop i7 8th Gen, 16GB RAM. No tweaks on anything. Looks amazing, runs amazing on Quest.Gotcha: wire quite short but was long enough for me due to laptop mobility.
Only chose this over Anker because Anker did not have this these specific specs of cable. So far pleased with the quality. Thick cable and good quality.
