I use this to plug my macbook pro into a portable external monitor. Works great for that purpose, feels durable.I can't speak to specific data transfer rates, as I haven't tested. But it's enough for a monitor.

I would expect a cable that was properly taken cared for to last longer then 11 months the cable shorted out at the 11 month mark I use the cable for vr at normal use I don't over use it and it suddenly stopped working there is no visible ware and tear on the cable. Very disappointing.

This is the ticket for sure. (with some future-proofing built-in, maybe.) I read somewhere you only need a 5Gbps cable and when I ran the test plugged directly into my RTX2080 usb-c port, I got 3.2Gbps so 5Gbps might have been plenty. Connection reported as USB3.0 could be my slightly dated RTX 2080 maybe USB3.1 would give me a tiny bit more. idk.but maybe this offers future-proofing and maybe more headroom for charging while gaming. Of that I am not* sure, but, of this product being good quality, and working to do what I need it to? Yes. This works very well for the Oculus Quest 2. If you want to be safe, I can tell you this works. (If you want to save a few bucks and risk it, maybe try a 5Mbps cable if they make them, I'm not sure.)

I'm using this cord to charge my Samsung Galaxy Book 360 Pro. I was amazed at how hard it was to find a cable that was usb-c 3.1. The Ac port is on the opposite side from my outlet so the 90% bend really comes in handy. The cord is a fairly stiff and has to loop across my laptop stand behind my Galaxy Book. I am worried about the weight of the cord so will be adding cable guides to hold the cord up and lessen the drag.So far so good but I've had it less than a week.

These cables look like they’re built great, and they are to some degree. The braided sleeving and connector housing seem to be pretty tough. But when it comes to the actual silver USB-C connector sticking out of the housing, the thing is garbage. I’m not sure if all USB-C connectors are like this, but every one I’ve tried so far has failed the same way. Like in the video, just a little movement and it loses connection. Maybe it’s an inherent flaw with USB-C connectors, I’m not sure. This cable lasted me just about a year when is started doing this.If anyone knows of an actual durable long USB-C cable, please let me know!
